While the outside crosswalk art project is taking shape, the inside of Carlin Park is getting spruced up as well. The paint is dry and new carpet is ready to be installed. We can't wait to show off to our students and families this August! Thank you to our custodial team for all their hard work.
The crosswalk in front of our school is blossoming into the most beautiful piece of art. With the help of the City of Angola, Relic Emporium, and Nate Lauer Carlin Park will have one of the best looking crosswalks around!!!
This week, students from across our district came together at Carlin Park for our summer school program. Focused on strengthening reading skills and setting our elementary learners up for success, these sessions are an important part of our commitment to student growth.

Get ready to Fly or Cruise into the Angola Airport on Saturday, May 10th! We've got a fantastic event lined up: Our excellent AMS and AHS jazz bands will be laying down some seriously cool jazz tunes for your listening pleasure. And that's not all! While you're there, grab some delicious pancakes and sausage, or even take an airplane ride if you're feeling adventurous. It's just $10 for adults and $5 for kids, and the fun runs from 8 AM to 1 PM. You won't want to miss this!
Miss Elizabeth from Carnegie Public Library in Angola has been on a grand tour of our elementary schools this week to share read alouds and the summer offerings available at the library. By Monday afternoon, she will have visited every elementary student in the district! Check your child's backpack for summer reading program information over the next few days. There are many ways to keep students learning at the library this summer.
We LOVE our book vending machine which was purchased by our amazing Booster Club. All students who earn CHIRPs for positive behavior are entered into a weekly drawing and five lucky students are randomly chosen to choose a free book.
To kick off Teacher Appreciation Week, Dr. Widenhoefer greeted teachers and students at Carlin Park Elementary. The teachers and staff were treated to a delicious morning drink provided by Travelling Tom’s Coffee truck. The coffee truck will visit a different school each morning this week. We thank all our teachers who dedicate themselves to our schools and their students; you are truly the heart of our school community."
