The Home of the Rhinos!

Our School

Opening its doors in 2001, Ryan Park Elementary is one of four elementary schools in the MSD of Steuben County, serving approximately 400 students in grades K-5. Ryan Park is a "bus-in" school with a vast majority of the students residing in rural areas of Steuben County. Steuben County borders the Michigan state line to the north and the Ohio state line to the east with Angola as the county seat.

Ryan Park is accredited through the Indiana Department of Education. Our school improvement goal focuses on improving in the areas of reading and math as measured by the statewide ILEARN annual test. Professional development is offered and encouraged for every staff member to model life-long learning.

Our school has participated in the development and implementation of a district-wide curriculum based on the Indiana Standards in English/Language Arts, mathematics, science, and social studies as well as other age appropriate curriculum across the grade levels. Our curriculum is reviewed annually for changes and supporting resources using previous spring assessment data. In order to best meet the needs of our students, Ryan Park staff uses data from a number of quality assessments to drive instruction. Academic programming includes "Multi-Tier System of Support" levels beginning with classroom differentiation within the regular classroom moving to small group and individual instruction during scheduled periods of the day. Our staff is dedicated to the success of every child.

We look forward to a fantastic school year!  If you have any questions or concerns, please contact us at (260) 668-8873.
